π Tiny Home Deliveries: What Happens When Access Is Tricky?
One of the most common questions we get is whether a tiny home can actually be delivered to a property with difficult access.
Steep driveways, narrow roads, sharp turns, rural tracks, and uneven ground are all things that can make people nervous when it comes to delivery.
The good news is that tricky deliveries are something we have experience with.
Not Every Delivery Is Straightforward
While some tiny home deliveries are simple and smooth, others require careful planning, the right equipment, and an experienced team.
Our most recent delivery took us well out into the country and involved steep hills, rocky roads, tight turns, and limited access. Once we reached the countryside, the tiny home needed to be transferred onto a low loader to safely complete the journey.
At one point, the truck even became bogged. With the right equipment and teamwork, we were able to pull it out using our ute and continue on without stress or delays.
Planning Is Everything
Deliveries like this are only possible because of proper planning and experience. Before any delivery, we consider road access, gradients, turning space, ground conditions, and the best transport option for the site.
By the time the tiny home is on the road, we already know the safest way to get it there.
A Calm and Controlled Process
Even on challenging deliveries, the process can still be calm and controlled when you have the right team behind you.
Our most recent delivery, we were able to be there on site for the entire process and were able to film the journey from start to finish. It was one of those jobs that looked difficult on paper, but with the right approach, everything came together smoothly.
You can watch the full delivery in our recent reel.
Tricky Access Does Not Mean Impossible
Many people assume that if their block is difficult to access, a tiny home is not an option. In reality, some of the most rewarding deliveries are the ones that require a little extra thought.
Steep, rural, or hard to reach locations are often exactly where tiny homes make the most sense.
